Meet The Team

Gene Kirby

Owner

Gene and his wife, Jennifer, became the owners of Superior Home Improvements after purchasing the business from Dave Field on May 1st, 2007. Former owner, Dave Field, built this company on a strong moral foundation and a belief to provide the customer the best possible product that they can afford as it is always the right thing to do. Gene and Jennifer strongly agree with this philosophy and Superior Home Improvements strives to always offer superior products, superior quality, and superior service, in all that we do.

Gene has a degree in Construction Management followed by over 30 years of experience in the construction industry. Gene and Jennifer met and were married in Liberal, Kansas and have two children, Sarah and Ryan. Moving on from Liberal, they’ve called Dodge City their home for the last 20 years.

Amanda Salem

Amanda grew up right here in Dodge City, graduated from Dodge City Senior High followed by Dodge City Community College. She has spent the last several years working in the Automotive Field in Northwestern Kansas before moving back to Southwestern Kansas and looks forward to returning to the Accounting Field. Amanda has 4 children, 2 boys and 2 girls. She enjoys spending time with her children and attending their activities and sporting events.
